This nice basic hotel offers a lot of nicely decorated and brand-new rooms. The tapas restaurant is good. Having eggs and bacon for breakfast is a bonus. It boasts a quiet central location. Attentive staff at the reception desk. Around a 10-15 minute walk from downtown.

The front desk girl, Electra, had a great personality and was very accommodating. She asked about our room preference and gave us a room facing the office, which was nice. The room was large and had nice amenities like a chair/ottoman, vanity, microwave oven, and refrigerator. The color scheme was pleasant, and there were plenty of electric outlets. The air-conditioner worked beautifully. The location was great, next door to the library and the McHenry Mansion. Leslie, who checked us in, was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. The breakfast offered a good variety, including protein, fresh fruit, and lots of carbs. The hours were convenient, and the attendant was helpful.

We stayed at Best Western in Modesto on our way to San Francisco. The staff in the front office was very nice and accommodating, opening the gate to the pool so we could sit and visit for several hours. The cleaning staff was kind when our keys didn't work and helped us get into our room. The security guard was also great, checking the parking lot and giving us good advice. The location was perfect, and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and quite comfortable, with a spacious bed and good TV. The bathroom had a large shower cubicle, and there were coffee facilities and a fridge. It was a short walk to restaurants, and we felt safe walking back. The pool was a decent size and the water was warm, allowing us to actually swim in it. The quiet location ensured a good night's sleep.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The hotel is fancy with very professional staff at the reception desk. Its location is convenient, within walking distance from the State Theatre of Modesto. It is also close to the center of town, the library, and the McHenry Mansion.
